Tri Valley Repertory Theater

(Show: Something Rotten)

"The sharp Tommy Lassiter is Shakespeare and he brings that rock star glamour to the Bard. Lassiter selflessly lampoons Shakespeare with some rich ego swag. Dressed in a silver lined outrageous neck collar and a healthy cod piece Lassiter takes the stage as the Rockstar playwright with the song “Will Power” that features him pointing out his greatest lines musically “Shall I compare thee…” to which the crowd finishes “to a summer’s day.” Was Shakespeare ever this much of a diva? I might guess he was and for this production with it's over-the-top “shtick” is the star of this show". -VMedia Entertainment

Berkeley Playhouse

(Show: RENT)

"The polished Tommy Lassiter as Mark brings a certain charm to the future film maker. Lassiter is solid, convincing and his tenor voice delivers. His opening introduction of the story includes his performance in the banner song “Rent”. Later Lassiter shines in the first act closer “La Vie Boheme” with the company, and his solo “Halloween” in Act 2. Lassiter steals the second act in “What You Own” at the end of the millennium. Lassiter wears the classic Mark scarf and dapper look and is also wonderful in the “Tango Maureen".

Tri Valley Theater Co.

(Show: Legally Blonde)

"The terrific Tommy Lassiter is geeky adorable as Emmett Forrest, who the audience cannot help but like. He has great stage presence, talented acting, and a solid singing voice. The comedic and endearing interactions between Cristobal and Lassiter in “Chip on My Shoulder” and “Take It Like a Man” are enough reasons to see the show, but the pair also sing beautifully together especially in the shows title number. The blending of their voices is soothing and the emotions that go into their song "Legally Blonde" makes it stand out and one of the best numbers in this production".

Tri Valley Repertory Theater

(Show: Disney's Newsies)

"The cast is impressive! The stellar Tommy Lassiter is passionate in the role of Jack Kelly, the leader of the Newsies. He immediately shows off his dynamite voice by opening the story with "Santa Fe," where he shares his dreams of escaping the big city".

Lucky Penny Productions

(Show: Bright Star)

"Aspiring writer Billy Cane (Tommy Lassiter), a young soldier who's just come home from World War II. Lucky Penny Artistic Director Bartolucci is astounding in encompassing both young Alice and her more mature counterpart; Lassiter is equally as compelling as the sweet-natured Billy, a fledging writer who refuses to be told "no."

Lucky Penny Cabaret

(Song: Without a Believer)

"Tommy Lassiter sang "Without a Believer" from Sara Bareilles' musical "Waitress." I was captivated and heart-broken by Lassiter's sensitive, wistful embodiment of a young man reflecting on his youth, and the older woman who convinced him to believe in his dreams. i wanted to befriend him, hug him, take him out for coffee, and listen to those dreams he thought he should abandon".

TMC Arts

(Show: Bright Star)

"The charismatic Tommy Lassiter plays Billy Cane, a young soldier home from World War II, meets Alice Murphy, editor of a Southern literary journal played by the brilliant local favorite Rachel Powers. Together they discover a powerful secret that alters their lives. The tuneful and handsome Lassiter plays the young writer with a sweet warm energy. He opens the story with the title banner song ”Bright Star”. Lassiter is perfect with Powers and their onstage battle for wit and writing skills is tense".
